Kerrimuir Suburb



This walk starts near Elgar Park, where you will find the Box Hill Miniature Steam Railway, an absolute gem for families with toddlers. It operates on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9 am to 4 pm. , so climb aboard and enjoy the ride through the scenic native bushland of Elgar park.

You will also enjoy the Bushy Creek track and an interesting experience walking alongside the Eastern Freeway

Coffee Stop: At the coffee shop at the corner of Packham St. and Middleborough Road


Drive to Elgar Road and park your car at the car park of the Chinese Evangelical Church on Elgar Road, opposite Belmore Road. 

Walk into Elgar Park to have a look at the miniature steam railway. Toilet facilities are here too.

Cross Elgar Road at the lights to join the Bushy Creek track.

Walk along this track crossing Station St. at the lights and continue to cross Dorking Rd, along Springfield Rd. to Middleborough Rd.

Have a coffee stop at coffee shop  at the corner Packham St and Middleborough Rd.

After coffee, continue along Middleborough Road, and turn left to join the track along the Eastern Freeway. 

Cross the tunnel under Station St. and another tunnel under Elgar Rd and continue along the track to return to your car. As an option, there are good lunch facilities at Belmore Road.
