Frog Hollow

This track is the continuation of the Outer Circle Railway, also known as the  Anniversary Trail. The Outer Circle train line opened in 1891. Parts of the trail were opened 100 years later in 1991, hence it is named the Anniversary trail.

Toilet Facilities: Willison Park carpark & at the Coffee shop
Coffee Stop: On Whitehorse Road, Deepdene

We start this walk at the carpark at  Willison Park, Camberwell (60B3).  Toilet facilities available at the carpark before starting the walk.   Head under the Railway bridge and turn left on to the track through Frog Hollow. Continue along the track and cross Riversdale Rd. at the lights, then  across Riversdale Park and along Spencer St.  There are information boards along the track which give an interesting account of the history of the Outer Circle Railway.
Turn right at Prospect Hill Rd. and left on to the track. Continue along the track under Canterbury Rd., and under Mont Albert Rd.  It is a gorgeous walk along the beautiful tree lined track, very serene and peaceful, except for the occasional cyclists that also use the track. It is interesting to note that on this track, cyclists have to give way to pedestrians !

The track leads to Whitehorse Rd. where we turn right on Whitehorse Rd. to enter the coffee shop and nursery.
After coffee, continue right along Whitehorse Rd. to Parkside Ave. Turn right into Parkside Ave. to Chatfield Ave. Turn left into Chatfield Ave.  and walk through Belmont Park to Mont Albert Rd.
Exit the park and cross Mont Albert Rd. into Mangarra Rd. Walk along Mangarra Rd. past beautiful houses to Canterbury Rd.

Turn left at the lights and cross Canterbury Rd. at the lights. Continue through  Boorondarra Park to rejoin the track and make your way back to the carpark at Willison Park.
