Toilet Facilities: At Valley Reserve car park & at the Waverley Aquatic Centre
Coffee Stop: Waverley Aquatic Centre

Park your car at the Valley Reserve, Mount Waverley carpark.  Toilet facilities are available at the carpark before starting the walk.  We join the walking track along the creek, leading to Regent Street.
Cross Regent Street and continue on the walking track through the Melbourne Water Retarding Basin. It is a beautiful area with little lakes formed as part of the retarding basin. The little boardwalk across the lake tempts you to have a walk across to take a closer look at these lakes. Majestic gum trees line the walking trail and you feel transported to remote bushland, right in the heart of Mount Waverley.  We reach Blackburn Road to walk across the footbridge to continue walking along the track to Waverley Road.

Continue on the walking track to cross Waverley Road and into Ivanhoe Street.
Keep walking along Ivanhoe street, turn left into Callaghan Av, then walk through the park to the pond at the end of the track, and return via Settler Ct to the Waverley Aquatic Centre for coffee.

After coffee, turn left along Waverley Road and enter the walking track Lakeview.   On the right, on a little embankment which you climb up a few feet, there is a pretty little lake worth visiting (70K4). Be careful not to miss it. It is a bit elusive.
Return to the track and make your way back along the same route to your car at Valley Reserve.
