Drummies Bridge Reserve

This walk is along the Bushy Park Wetlands and leads to the city of Whitehorse Recycling and Waste Transfer Centre, hence we call it Mount Rubbish. You can actually climb the lookout to get a view of the surrounding area.

To get more information about the Bushy Park Wetlands, refer to this website from Parks Victoria:

Melway Map reference: 71H1 - 62K9

Although the walk starts on Melway map 71, only Map 62 is displayed here as it is the more significant part of the walk

Toilet Facilities and coffee stop: Bunnings on Burwood Highway.

Drive to the corner of  Knights Drive and High Street Road, Glen Waverley and park along Knights Drive.
Turn left into the service road along High Street Road and turn left into the track through the pony club.
Follow the track past Highbury Road. You will see that there are 3 tracks to choose from. Take the centre track which leads to Mount Rubbish and the lookout.
Continue along the track to reach Bunnings on Burwood Hwy.
To return, turn left at Burwood Hwy to Mont Ct which leads to the track and make your way back to the car via the same route.

On your return, Drummies Reserve is an excellent place to stop for lunch.
