Beacon Cove, Sandridge

The formerly industrial Port Melbourne has been subject to intense development over the past decade.

Historically it was known as Sandridge and developed as the City's second port, linked to the nearby Melbourne CBD.

Beacon Vista is a significant point along this walk, as it is used by the large ships to line themselves up against  Beacon Vista and Beacon tower to ensure that the ships are correctly aligned.
